Q: What are your business hours?
We are open 24/7 excluding holidays.
Q: Which languages do you translate into?
For a full list, please consult our languages page.
Q: How do you charge for translation work?
We charge on a per-thousand words rate for translation work. The price of every project depends on:
Language combination.
European languages (French, Italian, German, Spanish etc) are the most affordable, while translations from or into more obscure languages are more expensive. The availability of highly trained professional translators in any given language will determine the price.
Urgency.
Normally our professionals can translate 1500 – 3000 words a day. If your need is more pressing, we will try to match it.
Number of words in the source document.
This approach can have the benefit of saving you money. English translations into any of the popular European languages (French, Italian, Spanish, etc.) often have a higher word count in the translated version than in the source file.
Type of project (technical, legal, etc.)
Translations of generic text, with no specific terminology or special style such as personal letters, resumes, speeches, etc., cost less than the translation of specialised documents such as; contracts, technical manuals, medical documentation, etc. The reason for this is that we will match the translator with a working knowledge of your subject.
Total cost is based on the source word count for European languages, and on the English word count for non-European. For more information, please see our rates page.
Q: What is proofreading?
Once the translator has completed their translation it will be passed to an independent proof-reader who will review the translated document against the original source document, all reference material and style guides.
The independent proof-reader, a qualified independent translator, will make constructive comments on the translation. These are then fed back and discussed with the original translator. This translation review cycle continues until translator, proof-reader and project manager all sign the translation off as final.
Q: Is there a minimum charge?
There is a minimum charge if the word count is very low, and, depending on the language combination, it ranges from 60 EUR to 100 EUR.
Q: How can I be sure that your work is of the highest quality?
Talkbridge is committed to providing its clients with the highest quality translation services by assigning a project manager and a team of language professionals to each client’s project.

Q: What are your payment terms?
Payment is normally due upon receipt of completed work. A deposit for the estimated amount of the project may be required. Corporations may be given longer payment terms.
Q: How long does it take to receive my quote?
30 minutes.
Q: How long will it take to complete my translation?

Typesetting is carried out by skilled operators, proficient in the language in which they are working, ensuring the highest quality throughout. For further information go to our DTP page.

Almost any format can be handled by our specialists. Normally we work with files in .doc, .docx, .pdf, .rar, .txt, .wpd, or .zip formats.
Q: How can I receive my translation once it has been completed?
We can email or mail you the translation.
Q: Where are your translators located?
All over the world, and are native speakers of their target languages.
Q: Why should I have my website translated?
A: If your website is currently only in English, you are missing out on the huge online market in other important world languages. The German, French, Spanish and Japanese language online markets are particularly lucrative. As recent studies have shown, visitors to a website are 300% more likely to buy from a site if it is in their own language and 500% more likely to read to the bottom of the page if it is in their mother tongue. What’s more, these surfers are spending more and more. We now live in a global marketplace and only those companies that open themselves up to international trade will prosper. Be proactive, and watch your sales soar!
Q: What is Machine Translation?
Machine translation is an automated translation system by which computer software is used to translate text from one language to another. This process tends to produce very literal translations and unpredictable translation quality.
Talkbridge does NOT use machine translation in its translation process.
